Rick started his journey at Utica High School and went on to earn his Masters Degree from Michigan State University. While there, he became a member of Sigma Chi Fraternity. He danced in nine 50-hour marathons and helped raise over $100,000 for multiple sclerosis. He joined the Jaycees in 1978, and from 1985-1986 he served as President of the Michigan Jaycees.

Rick Young is the founder of Rick Young Insurance and has been in the business for over 35 years. Rick also served as Vice Chairman on Shelby Township’s Waste and Recycling Committee that approved a single waste hauler. He is also a founding member of the Shelby Community Foundation. Rick is husband to Denise, his college sweetheart and father to twins, Troy and Taylor who are in the business. In his spare time, Rick likes to attend Michigan State sporting events, play basketball, loves fishing, boating, and spending time with dog Luna.
