At Rick Young Insurance, we're just as passionate about serving our community as we are about protecting our friends and neighbors with comprehensive insurance solutions!

While attending Michigan State, he participated in 7 dance marathons, winning them all and raising over $100,000.

Then in 1996, Rick was a founding member of the Shelby Community Foundation.

In 2002, he was instrumental in raising the $100,000 for the endowment fund to keep their tax status. Since then, the fund has grown to $500,000.

In 2008, Rick Young partnered up with Michael Furrey of the Detroit Lions to start the Mountain of Food Drive. The idea was to get high school students collecting canned food and raise money for the Detroit Rescue Mission. During our first two campaigns in 2008 and 2009 over $40,000 was raised, which was matched by a grant for another $160,000 and over 120,000 cans of food were collected by local high school students. When Michael Furrey was released by the Lions, Drew Stanton stepped up to take his place. Rick Young and Associates is working even harder now due to the tough economic times.
